Man-made training facility will be more than 14 metres deep
Planning permission has been granted to build a new inland dive centre in West Sussex.
Farm owner Richard Scales has been given the green light to build a 90-metre wide, 90-metre long lagoon on his land.
After two years, planning permission has finally been granted for the site in Chidham, not far from Chichester.
When construction is complete, the owners expect the new facility to be 14.5m deep at the deepest point.
Hopefully the vis won’t be too bad as the lake will be lined and hence should be silt-free.
It will also be filled with spring water and be subject to a filtration system.
