Northern Diver signs huge military contract
Wigan-based supplier secures £24m armed forces contract
Northern Diver has won a multi-million pound contract to supply diving equipment to the UK armed forces.
The Wigan-based company will supply £24.37 million-worth of equipment over five years.
This contract covers a variety of specialist underwater technology including suits, communications gear and other specialist equipment.
The British Army and Royal Navy have both procured equipment under the deal.
As well as high-tech equipment, Northern Diver International will supply items such as knives, torches, wetsuits, scuba sets and lines.
The company will also deliver training and support, plus ongoing maintenance, as part of the contract.
