Shearwater Swift pod with smart AI

Shearwater is introducing a new tank pod transmitter featuring next generation smart AI technology.

The new Swift unit is designed to make and keep a highly reliable connection between Shearwater devices.

It listens for other transmitters, and only communicates when the channel is clear by avoiding collision with other signals.

This means divers can use multiple transmitters near each other without worrying about potential interference.

This advanced technology is leveraged by Shearwater’s new firmware which includes support for up to four transmitters on compatible Shearwater models.

This firmware also includes exciting new features like advanced screen customisation and AI Sidemount mode.

We particularly like the sound of this feature: the Swift boasts a ‘no-tools design’, making it easy to remove and replace the pod from the first stage. Gone is the need to find a particular sized tool to tighten or loosen the transmitter, making it perfect for travel.

A double O-ring seal protects a user-replaceable 3V CR2 lithium battery, offering up 300 hours of time. An LED status indicator lets the diver know things are functioning as they should at a glance during setup.

The Shearwater Swift weighs only 135 grams, is depth rated to 200 msw, and operates with gas pressures of up to 300 Bar.
