Cressi and Lowrance form partnership

Italian dive gear brand Cressi has signed a partnership deal with Lowrance, the well-known maker of electronic marine instruments.

Lowrance makes a range of acoustic and ultrasonic devices such as fishfinders and sonar systems for boats.

Scuba manufacturer Cressi is one of the world’s oldest dive companies, and was formed in Genoa in 1946. It is particularly renowed with spearfishing enthusiasts, as well as free and scuba divers.

No details of what the partnership could lead to, but in an age where dive computers and instruments are becoming ever more sophisticated, we imagine Lowrance fishfinder technology could be pretty useful underwater when spearfishing…

Of the partnership, Cressi said: “Thanks to this collaboration, the Cressi athlete team will have the opportunity to interface with the Lowrance world to enjoy technological innovation and improved diving performance.”
