Atomic Aquatics B2x Regulator

The new B2x regulator is set to join the Atomic Aquatics range, introducing an enhanced first stage design to this popular model.

The new first stage valve has been made extra tough, which will be welcomed by divers who, let’s face it, operate in a pretty demanding environment of salt water.

Atomic Aquatics says: “the B2x attains unparalleled tribological properties unmatched by any other Brass regulator” (for those unaware, tribological means ‘the science and engineering of understanding friction, lubrication and wear.’)

The B2x regulator merges the distinctive second-stage design of Atomic Aquatics in titanium with a first stage featuring a sleek black Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) over chrome plating.

The addition of Atomic Aquatics’ proprietary Diamond-Like Carbon makes the B2x a seriously tough cookie – and without compromising the seamless operation of the first stage.

The DLC coating gives the surface an amazing 16 times more protection than just the raw metal.

B2x features

Divers familiar with Atomic Aquatics regulators will recognise many of the B2x features and design touches. That includes the ever-popular Comfort Swivel, which allows 30° rotational movement without hose binding or kinking.

The B2x stainless steel Comfort Swivel has black PVD coating for great corrosion resistance.

The Atomic Aquatics B2x regulator will be available in Yoke (A-clamp) Unsealed or DIN Unsealed versions. No word yet on prices or when we might expect it to go on sale in the UK.
