BSAC makes learning to dive easier with digital tools
Instructors can sign off lessons at the touch of a button
Qualifying as a scuba diver continues to become easier thanks to investment in digital training tools by the British Sub-Aqua Club (BSAC).
Launched in 2021, the MyBSAC app for Android and iOS gives BSAC members all their essential membership and training details right at their fingertips. The app has been developed to directly support members’ diving and training.
As the National Governing Body for scuba diving and snorkelling in the UK, BSAC has been recruiting bumper numbers of scuba diving trainees into its community since the pandemic.

Thanks to the app, these new trainees will have instant access to their membership/qualification cards – meaning they can prove their BSAC membership, diving or snorkelling qualification as well as medical status anytime, anywhere in the world. They’re also able to check membership information, get the latest news, or book onto their next training event via the app.
Plus, in the latest app release, qualified BSAC instructors can now use the MyBSAC app to look up students, leave comments, and sign off lessons at the touch of a button – no paperwork required.
Following this update, qualified dive professionals can also upload an HSE medical certificate to BSAC directly through the app.
BSAC Head of Diving and Training, Dom Robinson, said:
“The updated app demonstrates BSAC’s commitment to digital processes, as well as improving the training experience for students and instructors. And there’s more to come! The latest MyBSAC app release is just one step on the journey of constant improvements, following member feedback.”
