BARE is currently testing a pre-production version of an all-new drysuit in the UK, British Diver can reveal.

Weighs just 2.6kgs with HD boots

The new suit is expected to be called the Trilam Tech Light, and would be priced around the £800 mark.

Weight is a big consideration when choosing the right suit. That’s because a technical option like the hardy BARE HDC Expedition has Kevlar reinforcing, and even the lightweight X-Mission weighs in at 3.4kgs.

In contrast, the new Trilam tech Light is expected to weigh around 2.6kg (large) with the HD boots, and less than 2kg fitted with only socks.

The new BARE suit is currently in the hands of test divers around the UK for evaluation. More details to follow…
