Divers Down Swanage for sale
Owners put UK’s oldest dive centre on the market
Popular south coast dive outfit Divers Down Swanage is up for sale.
Billed as the UK’s oldest diving centre, Divers Down has been run since 1958 from the end of Swanage Pier, Dorset.
Swanage has always been a firm favourite
With easy access to some superb diving by boat, the location has always been a firm favourite with thousands of visiting divers.
First World War wreck of the P&O liner Kyarra lies just 10 minutes away by boat, for example. Many artefacts from the ship are on display in the Divers Down shop.
Besides bookings and kit hire, there’s also an attached PADI centre with filling station.
The new business owner will receive the pontoon at the rear and familiar dive boat Swanage Diver as part of the purchase. The two other Swanage boats are up for sale by separate negotiation.
Current owners Pete and Pat have decided ‘its time to go off on their own diving adventures.’ As a friendly and professional couple, they’ll certainly be missed.
So if you’ve got the cash and know-how to run a successful dive operation, better get your bids in now…
