A new flat port housing for GoPro cameras has officially gone on sale in the UK.

The Dive Housing is not only waterproof to 60 metres – as is the standard one, straight out of the box – but it has a new flat port over the lens.

corrects a blurring problem

This corrects a blurring problem affecting GoPro Hero and Hero2 stills and video shot underwater.

To date, the only fix was to buy a flat port housing or click-on lens from one of several third party manufacturers.

However, the new Dive Housing should prove popular with GoPro owners who like to keep things official.

Like existing housings, the new one is waterproof to 60m (197ft), and ideal for diving – not to mention snorkeling, freediving or any submerged filming requirement.

The GoPro Dive Housing also comes with a protective lens cap, tether string and assorted mounting hardware.

It costs around MSRP £49.99 and is on sale now at Dixons, Jessops, Snow & Rock, Ellis Brigham, Surf Surf Surf and Evans Cycles.
