The WWF is looking for water-loving volunteers to join in the Blue Mile 2011.

It’s a charity event that will raise money for the WWF’s important work protecting our marine environment.

Water lovers – whether swimmers, kayakers, or those who just like to walk along the shore – are firmly in the WWF’s sights.

The Blue Mile challenges participants to swim, paddle or walk a mile on or next to water.

All monies raised will help the WWF campaign to clean up our freshwater and ocean environments.

The main Blue Mile event takes part in London on Sunday September 4th.

But you can organise your own waterborne mile for a stretch closer to home by registering on the WWF website.
