One-button computer wins award
Simplicity impresses judging panel from German magazine
The Mares Puck computer has been named as best for beginners by a German diving magazine.
Unterwasser magazine chose the Puck as its “suggested buy” model, beating off some stiff competition.
The Puck received all-round high scores, with the panel impressed by its ease of use.
This makes it a particularly good choice for novice divers, they concluded.
Winning factors included a best price-to-quality ratio, display readability, and easy to access push button.
The Puck can be mounted in a wrist or console configuration.
A single button design allows divers to intuitively scroll through all menu options, while easily selecting or changing computer settings.
The Mares Puck costs around £190, and is available from most major dive retailers now.
