Amphibico launches colourful housings
Cheery video camera housings are rough and tough beneath
Brightly coloured new camera and video housings for recreational divers have launched from Amphibico.
The quirkily titled Turtle range comes in a choice of six different colours, in either red, orange, yellow, green, blue or pink.
Despite the playful looks, the Turtle is nonetheless designed to do the business.
Casings are made using a mix of marine-grade aluminium and stainless steel. On the outside, Amphibico housings are anodized with an extra coat of Polyurethane paintwork.
The tough Turtle is pressure-rated to as much as 100 metres, more than enough for recreational users.
The port at the front of the housing has fixed glass and at the rear comes with a 3.5″ digital LCD monitor.
The Turtle is a right-hand setup with a pistol grip handle, featuring white balance control for shooting in the gloom.
Turtle housings cost around $1,195 (approximately 750 pounds) from US dealers, or can be purchased direct from the Amphibico online store.
