Privacy policy

1. Introduction

British Diver (BD) takes privacy seriously. This privacy policy describes how and why the site obtains, stores and processes data that can be used to identify users. This policy may be updated from time to time, and if so, will be indicated on the web site.

2. Information collected

Basic information is collected from users when registering for the newsletter, or when sending a contact form. The information collected is clearly set out on the web page used to collect it. In addition, the site may collect an IP address and use cookies unless a web browser is configured not to accept them.

3. Why it is collected

Information is collected for receipt of a newsletter only. Users will not be sent information about related products and services, nor from third parties, without express opt-in consent.

4. Disclosure

4.1  If users give consent, their contact details may be passed to third parties who may then occasionally send communications to provide information, offers and services that may be of interest. Users can opt out of this at any time.

4.2  In certain circumstances BD may need to disclose information about a user if in breach of this privacy policy. This includes accessing an account if required to do so by law or by any Governmental body.

6. Security

British Diver takes user security seriously. However, no data transmission over the peer-to-peer networks can be guaranteed to be totally secure. As a result, the security of any information submitted should never be considered risk-free, and the user does so at their own risk.

7. Accessing and updating personal information

A copy of all personal information held about a user is available should he or she request it, and may be updated at any time.
